Contract Overview
This requirement is to provide Information Technology services and support for enhancement, maintenance, and security of the Cyber Center of Excellence (CCoE) G6's Network, Enterprise Level Solutions, and IT Services.
Position General Responsibilities
- Be responsible for creating and maintaining the paperwork for student accounts, mirroring the process for cadre personnel (DD Forms 2875, DD Forms 2842 or Acceptable Use Policy (AUP), etc. at an estimated student throughput of 16,000 annually.
- Support student computers in the Linux environment within the CCoE, to include installing and maintaining user workstations running a GNU/Linux distribution (Debian Family, Fedora Family, etc.),
- Provide SharePoint support by managing permissions, sites web part pages, web part configuration, built-in lists and document libraries, custom lists and libraries, InfoPath forms, workflows, and other features and functionality.
- Provide VTC Administration by setting up, configuring, and monitoring VTC systems and perform basic troubleshooting and support for NIPRNET, SIPRNET, and JWICS VTCs. Will use organizational VTC management tools to monitor the availability and scheduling of VTC Systems.
- Responsible for implementing automation using Government provided systems such as writing and/or modifying Powershell scripts as needed in order to meet requirements.
- Run various services such as domain controllers, active directory, files shares, and group policy as well as perform monthly Security Technical Information Guide (STIG) for all CCoE servers for compliance and produce a monthly report
- Support desktop environments comprised of both Microsoft and Linux Operating Systems and must be able to perform the following in a Linux environment: o Successfully execute essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation
- Operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services
- Configure local storage using partitions and logical volumes
- Create and configure file systems and file system attributes, such as permissions, encryption, access control lists, and network file systems
- Deploy, configure, and maintain systems, including software installation, update, and core services
- Manage users and groups, including the use of a centralized directory for authentication
- Manage security, including basic firewall and SELinux configuration
- Establish active directory accounts and apply for file share permissions
- Maintain the CCOE security posture by performing IAVA mitigation on all CAT I, II, and III findings as identified
- Provide Tier I Service Desk Desktop Support: Provide production support to include problem resolution, technology moves, new user's configuration, and user accounts, hardware builds operating systems, application support desktop/laptop roll-outs, administration, etc
- Have frequent contact with customers and must maintain good customer relations as well as understand and apply the processes of project management.
- Create and maintain Service Desk SOP, TTPs, etc.
- Mobile Device Management: Submit track and process mobile device requests for the command to include new cell phone requests in accordance with command guidelines on authorizations. Provide support for mobile devices within the organization for mobile device services, support, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
- Remain abreast of current and future trends in Cloud computing and content virtualization. (Ex. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, VMWare, Citrix).
- Infrastructure Administration: utilize infrastructure-monitoring technologies (ex. Splunk, SolarWinds, Nagios).
- Network Administration: configure, secure, and maintain network equipment including switches and routers.
- Submit weekly trouble ticket report
- Attend meetings directly related to duties IAW PWS to gain insight and/or provide subject matter expert (SME) guidance. Take legible notes and be able to provide them upon request.
- Assist the ISSMs in meeting their duties and responsibilities, such as Tenant Security Plan (TSP), RCERT IAVA incidents, and IA training requirement
- In coordination with the Information System Security Manager (ISSM), initiate protective or corrective measures when a cybersecurity incident or vulnerability is discovered and ensure that a process is in place for authorized users to report all cybersecurity-related events and potential threats and vulnerabilities to the ISSO.
- Maintain CCoE hardware and software inventory
- Support implementation of G6 policies and procedures.
- Develop and enforce comprehensive naming conventions, data tagging policies, and data organization for the unit for both CCoE Admin and Training Environment
- Design briefings, text documents, templates, and other recurring products.
- Provide expertise and assist in the training in using Networking tools, processes, and systems.
- Key COMSEC equipment.
Position Qualifications
- Have at least three (3) years of experience in server administration
- Have at least two (2) years of experience with basic switching concepts and managed switch configuration.
- Be familiar with DevOps business practices
- Possess the ability to install, operate, and maintain configuration management software and remote execution engine
- Be familiar with completely automating PXE boot processes using UEFI firmware in a GNU/Linux environment (to include secureboot, etc.)
- Have knowledge of cloud and virtualization
- Possess at least five (5) years of experience in IT desktop support, IT Service Desk support
- Mobile Device Manager coordinate cell provider for device and service concerns and issue; Subject matter expert to resolve cell phone issues.
- Certification Requirements:
- Baseline certification: IAT II
- Computing Environment (CE): must be current platform (or higher) IAW Army guidance (i.e Windows 10, Server 2008 to 2012, etc.). Currently: Installing and Configuring Windows 10 (70-698) or MD-100 and MD-101
- A minimum of three (3) personnel: Installing and Configuring Windows Server 2012 (70-410) and Configuring Advanced Server 2012 Services (70-412), 70-740 Installation, Storage and Compute with Windows Server 2016 or equivalent
- Receive IA appointment orders from Chain of Command
- Be monitored in the Army Training and Certification Tracking System (ATCTS).
- Successfully complete Information Assurance Fundamentals online course and exam at https://cs.signal.army.mil.
- Complete the Privileged Level Access Agreement (PLAA) annually.
- This Personnel Security Standard for this position is IT-I (Personnel in IA positions with privileged-level access to control, manage, or configure IA tools or devices, individual and networked IS and devices, and enclaves).
